No Sleep For Lucy – Closure
No Sleep For Lucy are a Rock/Arena band based in Stockholm, Sweden.
The band was founded back in 2012 by the childhood friends Kristoffer Sjökvist (bass) and Christian Rabb (guitarist).
They headhunted Lukas Meijer as the singer and front figure of the band. Lukas was discovered singing at a party by Christians Sister and No Sleep For Lucy was then complete.
The band is recognized by their sing-along friendly choruses, melodic guitar riffs, and epic sound and energy on stage. Funny note about the band name: Lukas is interested in history, after reading an article in the newspaper about the first human-ape LUCY, whose bones are traveling around the globe for examination. He was thinking to himself, poor her; there is “No Sleep For Lucy”.

Tell us your genre and idea behind your music video.
We play what we like to call Arena/Rock because we think our music is meant for the BIG stages. ;). We like melodic music and try to be as melodic as possible and we like epic atmospheres that we try to implement in our productions. The song is meant … for people going through hard trials in life and in need of closure.

Explain the story behind the song.
Our former manager that thought we needed a killer rock ballad got us in touch with Tommy Henriksen (guitarist in Alice Cooper) and Mark Holman (Grammy-nominated producer/songwriter, Chris Daughtry, Shinedown, Goo Goo Dolls). They sent us the song Closure and we loved it from the start. So we started to re-produce it so it would fit us better and we sent it back to the guys and loved Lukas’s voice on the track. So all agreed that the song fitted us and we released it.
