Brief us on how to impress fans during a live performance.
Have good material and play it well. The rest is window dressing.

List the names of your biggest supporters.
I don’t generally drop the names of my fans.

Explain what has motivated you so far in your music career.
Simply to write, perform and record good music.

Discuss your experience as an artist.
After playing music for 30 years I’ve had pretty much every kind of experience either as an artist or simply a sideman. I’ve played to empty rooms and full stadiums.

Tell us the biggest mistake you have ever made in your music career.
Not so much a mistake as a general failing of mine is my lack of ability as a self-promoter.

Discuss the story behind the song.
It’s about not playing music (or any other artistic pursuit) for any kind of reward but rather because you can’t possibly do anything else.

Tell us how to fund a music project.
I used an IndieGoGo campaign for my 2015 album but this last one was pretty much funded by a day job.

Discuss your opinion on the safety of fans during shows and live performances.
I think fans should be safe.

Tell us the greatest piece of advice someone has given you as an artist.
Simplify!!!  (I rarely take this advice).

Discuss vocal training and how you protect your vocal.
I don’t do any vocal training of any kind other than sing regularly.

Discuss your best mood during a performance.
Relaxed, Prepared, Open.

State your artist’s name and elaborate on it.
“Seth Timbs”, it’s my actual name.

List your best artists with reasons.
The Beatles of course because they invented “rock band”.  Randy Newman because he’s a genius.  Prince for the same reason.
