I am 34 years old, from the north of Israel, and have been writing and composing songs on my guitar since the 6th grade.
Nature, music, and my daughter are what I cherish most in life.
I’m inspired by electronic soulful music, and in my music, I am trying to infuse the basic song that I made with my classical guitar, as I usually do.
I try to make it work naturally with electronic sounds, lots of basses and the goal is to make my own sound.

Discuss your personality.
In another lifetime I probably would have been a comedian, that’s because I’m always making up jokes.
I’m very sensitive and also a bit shy.

Discuss your existence as a musician.
Being a musician is my gateway to learning who am I.
Making music gave me the drive and passion to learn new things and to grow.
For me as a musician means to make new music in a different way.

Go into details on the changes in your life for choosing music as a career.
After I and my wife separated, a transition happened in my life, I started making things that I left behind, like releasing my songs, and after I got a lot of support in doing so, and I just knew that now is the time.
After I became a father, something opened up inside me, I felt I am more connected to my music and to myself, a fact that I should do music in my life.

Tell us how you will manage fame as an established artist.
I hope to keep being authentic all the time.

Elaborate on the storyline of this song.
The song Shipwreck from the Stars is about the movement of life.
I learned this practice called ‘Focusing’, the main goal of this practice is for us to get in touch with our body’s language’.
I talk about a time when suddenly I had a bad distant memory and I felt just like the time when the thing actually happened.
It all came back to me after I buried it deep inside, like a shipwreck from the stars and the first verse is about that.
The second verse talks about the fact that all of us have great knowledge inside of us, and even though the movement in life brings you back to points in life you wanted to forget, we still have the knowledge we picked up, internally, which gives us tools to overcome and become stronger and dynamic.

Let us know the greatest moment of your music career.
When I first produced and wrote all the parts by myself. Just like I wanted them; that gave a great sense of accomplishment.

Discuss your experience pertaining to live performances, gigs, shows, and tours.
Live gigs are the best way to test your music and to get in touch with the audience.

Discuss the changes in your life as an artist.
I have always been an artist of sort, what I mean is, I have always done artistic occupations, such as drawing or photography and music, so the only real change is to engage daily in promoting or thinking about how to get my music out there and making time for music in my life.
State the names of the most important people that boosted your music career and how you met them.
My manager Galor Taite was the first person that tutored me in the right direction.
I learned a lot from him musically and about music production.

Explain what you have in mind before considering music as a career.
Fatherhood is the only thing before considering music as a career.
But I believe that when there’s a will there’s a way 🙂

Discuss your experience in life.
I was a sensitive and sometimes naive child, only after my mother passed away. I felt I had a new perspective on life that gave me wisdom.
I read in a book named ‘The Teachings of Don Juan’ by  ‎Carlos Castaneda, that when a parent dies, he passes over his ‘edge’ to his child. I really connected with that thought.

Name the artists that have influenced the world.
Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Pink Floyd, Miles Davies, Jimi Hendrix.

Discuss your moment of rejection as a musician/artist and how you are able to cope and move on with your career.
Moments of rejection are never nice, but I was lucky to receive sometimes good critic that made me confident that I’m making my own authentic music that has my Character Imprinted in it.
Tell us the most negative comment you have ever received.
I got a comment saying my music is ‘too dramatic’; I am dramatic, as a person.
So I took it as a confirmation that I made something like me in my music.

State your artist’s name and elaborate on it.
SugaFree – because I aim to make authentic and original songs; that will sound good, acoustic or in production.
I chose the name Sugafree due to the nature of my songs, which has no additives or sweeteners and clichés. It’s just me in a song.
State the title of the song and the meaning.
Shipwreck from the Stars – like all those memories that sometimes are coming back to teach us something.

State the title of the album and the reason for choosing the title.
The story is the album’s title – The 3rd single from that album is named Story.
And it’s the most personal for me. I wrote it about my mom. And I think my song takes you through a story – a journey in your own mind.
So the story seemed right.
