Jack Savoretti Releases New Single ‘Candlelight’

New Album ‘Singing To Strangers’ Out March 15th

2019 UK Tour Includes The SSE Arena, Wembley May 31st

With his UK tour selling out fast, Jack Savoretti releases his stirring new single ‘Candlelight’ which impacts February 1st on BMG Records. The single is taken from his stunning new album ‘Singing to Strangers’, out March 15th. The album is the follow up to his two gold discs ‘Written in Scars’ (2014) and ‘Sleep No More’ (2016).

Produced by Cam Blackwood (George Ezra) and recorded in Rome at Ennio Morricone’s studio this summer, the 12 track album features Jack’s acclaimed live band: guitarists Pedro Vito and Sam Lewis; bassist Sam Davies, drummer Jesper Lind, Davide Rossi (Coldplay, Goldfrapp) on strings and musical director Nikolai Torp on keys.

‘Candlelight’, co-written with Joel Potts (Athlete, Ezra), is an intoxicating rhapsody of strings, choral harmonies, sinuous bass and guitar, with Savoretti’s woody, heartfelt rasp perfectly woven in between. “The studio is in the basement of this huge church and the atmosphere in there was essential when recording ‘Candlelight’” says Jack “that track became the calling card of the album.”

Having recently appeared alongside Kylie Minogue on both Jonathan Ross and Michael Mcintyre performing their track ‘Music’s Too Sad Without You’, Jack will play the following UK dates this summer:

Boy George & Culture Club refuses to stop thrilling music fans with hit songs and entertaining video with unusual visual that will add to the audience’s yearning for more.

Boy George & Culture Club unveil the most sensitive and incredible video of their iconic career.

Boy George and Culture Club unveil the video for the song entitled ‘Life’. Shot by Rankin, the accompanying video of the personal song Boy George has recorded to date starts with his iconic makeup stylings but later shows him stripped of his signature make-up and hat.

His emotion, his tears, captured and countered, with a theme of hope; revealing his vulnerable side, Boy George has said the video is a gratitude to his many fans that have supported him throughout his music career.

The band will perform ‘Life’ on The Graham Norton Show this Friday.

The song, produced by Future Cut, tells of battling and beating the darkest times, through the support of others and by holding on to this hope.

Of the track, Boy George says: “John Lennon said ‘LIFE’ is what happens while you are busy doing other things, but sometimes you have to stop and look with sadness and pride at what you have done and created in your own life and value the rich complexity of it!

As the lyricist of ‘Life’, I wanted to express something truthful, honest and bare while carrying an uplifting message of hope. It’s my story, but it’s a story so many people will resonate with. A story of recovery, transformation and the start of a brand new journey which has already brought Culture Club well deserved accolades. It’s a song about second chances and new beginnings, enlightenment, spiritual growth, and personal redemption.

Since their start in 1981; Culture Club have sold over 150 million records worldwide, recognized as a Grammy Award-winning UK institution with a stream of classic hits including; ‘Do You Really Want to Hurt Me’, ‘Karma Chameleon’, ‘Church Of The Poison Mind’, ‘Victims’, ‘It’s A Miracle’ and ‘The War Song’.

The group are fronted by singer/songwriter Boy George; loved as one of music’s most iconic artists, with Roy Hay on guitar/keyboard and Mikey Craig on bass. As the first multi-racial band with a gay front man, Culture Club set many records and proved themselves as idols of British musical history and popular culture. During the summer they played to over five hundred people in the US and have just finished performing ‘The Life Tour’ around arenas across the UK and Europe.
