Boston Bun discovered electronic music at 16 while watching music television channels.
Drawn to the distinctive, characteristic and rather leftfield stylings from the likes of Chemical Bros BEST, Detroit Grand Pubahs, and Basement Jaxx – Boston quickly developed a passion for videos with a distinctive edge and began learning to direct videos himself of a similar nature.
While learning and horning his directing skills, his curiosity leaned over to music production and he soon began to produce tracks from his bedroom.
From 2012 to 2015 he released four EPs via Ed Banger. Critics praised his rough, distinguishing house sound, dirty bass lines, and emblematic vocals.
Boston soon started playing in clubs and festivals all over the world including XOYO, Razzmattaz, Womb, Dour, Montreux, Astropolis, PS1, Pacha and many more.
They sent an invitation to him take part in the seminal Boiler Room sessions series; live & direct from Paris. The tracks also gained strong support from fellow DJ’s such as Soulwax, Skream, Duke Dumont, Boys Noize, Erol Alkan and more.
Recently, Boston’s production talents have led him to remix songs from the likes of Disciples, Metronomy, The Magician, Riton and Clare Maguire.
In 2017, Boston launched his own label called Circa ’99 and released ‘Missing You,’ a nostalgic and beautiful house gems that received the support from Martin Solveig, Tchami, Mercer, The Magician, Danny Howard, Annie Mac and many more…
