Bombface – 53 Rd Ave S

“An unfamiliar sound captured my attention. My soul understood the melody, and instantly I wanted more”. That is how Bombface describes the songs that lived in his head before he ever got a chance to record them. “Would these songs sound good if they were tracked?” was a question that piqued his curiosity, and pushed him to one day find the answer.

Bombface’s incarceration kept his curiosity at bay for the better part of eight years. But the day came when parole was granted. He heard a voice through the speaker and instantly smiled. “More was all I could think of”, as if greed had set into his soul. It was time to go get it.

Bombface is a rapper with the ability to produce at the highest level. His verses are content-filled, and littered with lyrics that repeatedly cause ooh’s and aah’s. Wordplay seems to be his recreational activity of choice. The Seattle born rapper is making great music that can climb in to your mind and stay all day…

Sean O' Reilly - The Begining, The End and After

Sean O’Reilly

Sean O’Reilly is singer-songwriter from New England.  He is a self-taught pianist, singer, producer, and engineer.  His music is written and recorded alone, in quiet contemplation; it balances, on the edge of a knife, the spider webs of emotional complexity with the blunt force of raw honesty – artisanal music for those seeking unrefined beauty.

What does a singular mind sound like when twisting into itself? A string of thought, tied in knots around a possibility, unraveled at both ends?

The Beginning, The End and After is a sonic novella; its plot is ordinary and inconsequential, common, and not special. It is so common, in fact, that there is likely not a soul that has not lived this story and lived longer still to tell the tale to friends, family, co-workers, or acquaintances at a holiday party just tipsy enough to sit and listen, but not quite sober enough to remember in the morning.

It is in the ordinary that we dwell, and in these ordinary moments buildings fall and the hands of desperation emerge from the rubble, intent to …

Villagers – A Trick of the Light

Always restless and inventive while always true to the power and glory of songwriting and melody, Conor O’Brien has made another great leap forward with Villagers’ fourth studio album, The Art Of Pretending To Swim, released by Domino on Friday 21st September. Following the exquisitely sparse, intimate aura of 2015’s Darling Arithmetic, O’Brien’s new record reconnects with the multi-faceted approach of Villagers’ 2010 album debut Becoming A Jackal and 2013’s Awayland while adding a new-found soulfulness, rhythmic nous and dazzling panoply of sonic detail, both analogue and digital, creating feverish moods while writing effortlessly accessible tunes. Balanced with subtle aspects and lyrical themes that embrace existential fears and hopes in this desperate, technologically-centred dystopian age, The Art Of Pretending To Swim is the most brilliantly realised Villagers album to date. The album was written, produced, mixed and primarily performed by Conor O’Brien in his Dublin studio.

The video for ‘A Trick of the Light’, the first single from the album, was directed by Bob Gallagher.

Conor says of the collaboration:

“Myself and Bob got together and discussed the song thematically and came to the conclusion that there was no other option but to make a short film in which we follow a disheveled shamanistic protagonist who mysteriously triggers an altered state of consciousness in everyone he meets, or at least believes that he does. We also wanted lots of dancing and to inspire a general feeling of “what the hell did I just watch?” in the viewer.”

O’Brien has a string of accolades under his belt including two Ivor Novello Awards (the most recent being 2016’s Album Award for Darling Arithmetic), two Mercury Music Prize nominations and is also a previous winner of Ireland’s Choice Music Prize. Additionally, Villagers’ music recently featured in the high profile HBO drama ‘Big Little Lies’, Conor has collaborated with the composer Nico Muhly (that track featuring in the forthcoming Paulo Sorrentino Berlusconi biopic ‘Loro 2’) and Villagers’ Spotify session of ‘Nothing Arrived’ has hit over 100 million streams.

The Art Of Pretending To Swim is available to pre-order on Domino Mart-exclusive deluxe LP (includes 10” of a 12-minute version of ‘Ada’ and B-side ‘This Is The Art Of Pretending To Swim’ plus signed lyric booklet), Deluxe LP (includes ‘Ada’/ ‘This Is The Art Of Pretending To Swim’ 10”), Standard LP, CD and Digitally. Elaborate on your music career.

I (Mistah Gt) am a Hip-Hop and Dance-Hall artist. I’ve been writing music since I was 12 years old and recording since I was 16. I started recording in a quality studio since September of 2017. I am currently unsigned, although an offer for a publishing deal is on the table (not yet signed). I have many songs of the same quality with versatile melodies (rapping and singing).

Ayoblud

Adrian Youngblood, known amongst peers of lyricism as Ayoblud, is a conscious hip hop artist proudly planted with his South Florida roots. With the ambition and determination to stay true to the foundation upon what hip hop was based, Ayoblud continuously provides his listeners with the hunger and passion of real life experiences through potent lyricism. In fear of missing a rhyme of importance, Ayoblud gives you the urge to rewind each track in attempts to catch every phrase and punch line. With a humble, yet confident attitude, Adrian Ayoblud YP Youngblood breeched his way into a world of struggle and love.

Growing up in various regions of South Florida, church was always a factor in his life. This is where he fell in love with drums, piano, melodies and the word choice of music. Watching his mother in the Choir he always hoped for the voice of an angel but as he grew older, something came over him. Ayoblud made a realization that would change not only his mindset but his life as a whole. He found a distinct satisfaction in the wordplay of rappers and poets. So in 2001 he started writing poetry for personal purposes and by the middle of 2005 he traded in the rhyme schemes and limericks in for bars verses and hooks.

Joining his first rap group, Local Circle, his sophomore year of high school he began to find himself being challenged lyrically. Ayoblud was featured on two of the mixtapes distributed under the Local Circle camp. Noticing his progression and crowd reaction, he realized this was something he was destined to do for as long as God willing. During his senior year, rapping became less of a priority and graduating took the place of his pen in paper. He went back to writing poetry to keep his mind stimulated but didn’t release any songs until the summer of 2007. After moving to Tallahassee for college, his rapping career seized to exist. This extinction lasted until someone asked him for a verse in the winter of 2008; it was as if the feeling never left.

Elaborate on your music career.

Enrique “Rick “ Santana

My name is Enrique Santana but everyone calls me Rick.  I was born in Chicago in 1964.  Moved to Puerto Rico in 1970 and lived there for 7 years when I returned back to Chicago in 1977.  I attended Roberto Clemente HS where I came to be part of our Folkloric Dance group and also became a member of our HS band which is when I started to write songs.

I am a singer songwriter since I was a teenager.  I have always had a dream of recording my songs and have participated in contests such as the Hispanic Star Search in Chicago.  I have also been featured as a talent in a music show in the 90s based in Chicago called Salsa, Dip and Chip, performing one of my original songs titled “Spanish Eyes”.   I moved to Tampa Florida in 2007 and have been here since.  I am part of the worship team at my church “Victory Worship Center” in Plant City, Florida.

I am also a Registered Nurse and work at Moffitt Cancer Center where I have been a hematology oncology nurse for 11 years since I moved to Tampa in 2007.  Once in a while, I will go up to the in-patient floors in the hospital and play my guitar and sing my songs to our patients.   I love sharing the gospel by reading the bible, praying with them and singing my worship song to and with my patients so that they can be encouraged and be blessed.

Recently I have decided that instead of paying a producer, that I would learn how to produce and record my own songs.   I have always had a dream of creating and composing my music and decided to jump into the deep and I am trusting God to take me where he wants me to be.
