Tell us how you arrange your song.
At first, I began recording the drums in my home studio. I then started jamming with some pads and singing along, developing the main melody and harmonies. After laying guitar and bass, I wrote the lyrics and a draft for the final B section.

Discuss how you fix a tempo for your song.
I normally play either real instruments or MIDI so I just follow my intuition and then fix the tempo just by tabbing.

Elaborate on multi-genre music.
When I started my solo project I found it so hard to stick to one genre as it feels against the way I understand music. I mean, if I love, listen and play different genres, why should I stick to a particular one?

Tell us the best means of reaching fans.
Well, I may not be the best to answer that. I do some social media but I’m not on top of it like I guess I’m supposed to.

Discuss the process involved in launching a musical career.
I am independent so, it’s much harder this way. That’s why I always recommend hitting up some labels once someone’s project is done, they have the resources and, most important, money to put your music forward.
Otherwise, you’ll find yourself in an ocean of artists with the same assets as you and competing for the same goals as you.
Having a label supporting you, putting your music on playlists, arranging press releases on magazines, blogs, etc. even organizing events, it’s not just so good for promotion but also lets one focus on the most important, music.

Tell us how to develop a lyric to a full song.
I’d say first you have to know who you are writing for. Is it for the mainstream or to yourself, to your girlfriend, or to your ex-girlfriend? And then try to express yourself in their language.

Tell us how you come up with a melody.
Usually, the first approach is the one that brings the widest range of melodies and ideas, so I just make sure my phone is on and I’m recording. Then I just scat over the song trying as many melodies I can figure out.

Tell us your ideal type of recording studio.
One you can live in. Ideas come at any time. I believe we’re capturing the moment when recording, so I want to make sure I’m in the right vibe/moment.

Describe the factors you consider in a good song.
Composition, arrangements, sound design and mix…Groove and harmonization.

Tell us how you impact your listeners with your songs.
A positive aspect of being independent is that I can freely express myself by all means. I’d like to answer I impact listeners by making them more aware, tolerant, empathic, …I think we live in a society lacking common sense, in which citizens are just assets to build or preserve empires.

Tell us how you feel after the completion of a song.
I don’t have kids, so my music is my legacy. I feel like they’re taking their first steps and that makes me so happy. I don’t know what they’ll become but I’ll always love them the same.

Tell us what you will change in your music.
I’m currently working on a one-man-band setup so I can make live productions.

Tell us what is special about this release.
It’s my second full production, from composing the music, mixing and mastering it, to script the video, filming, and editing it. That gave me total freedom to shape the concept.

Tell us about your future goals.
In the short term, I’m finishing an album with my band Murk FM.
I’m also finishing an EP with a new band “Goosebumps” in which I’m a producer and multi-instrumentalist.
I’m preparing a new live set with Sunset Sunrise and starting to produce some of our tunes.
In the long term, I’m writing a script for a thriller movie I’m so passionate about, that mixes quantum physics and music.

Elaborate on the song.
In “Loving Games” I made the global overheating the main subject and it is illustrated with different metaphors, like the guy hovering the forest being humans trying to clean our waste with tools that generate more waste, it’s a vicious circle and simply doesn’t work.
The two main characters are on different planets, one on earth and the other in Europe, one of the moons of Jupiter, being a poetic/romantic representation of the quantum entanglement and critic of the aim of finding a new world rather than taking care of the only one we know.

Elaborate on your artist name and the title of the album.
Nima from “Arrows of Love” was responsible for my artist name. I told him I wanted to start my solo project, he came up with The Orbalist and I instantly loved it.
